How to Install WordPress on your Windows Computer Using WAMP Server

WordPress on your personal computer for learning and testing purposes. The process of installing WordPress on your personal computer is also known as setting up a local server environment or localhost. Often theme designers and plugin developers install WordPress on a local server environment to speed up their development process. An average user can use the local server environment to test plugins and/or make changes to the site before making it live for their audiences. 12 Simple Steps Follow for Installation of WordPress:-

1. Download WAMP Server

just type a google search engine Wamp Server free download.

2. Install WAMP Server
Download to Go To Download folder , just double click on WAMP server icon to run and install it in one of your directories (By default it gets installed on Local disk C).


3. Run WAMP Server

Install Wamp Server Complete.Your Dekstop Wamp Icon Represent That Big (W) Opne Wamp Server.

4. Download WordPress Zip

Download Wordpress Goto Wordpress.com and download latest Zip File.

5. Open Directory Window(C.) Where You Have Install WAMP

Directory (Local disk C, by default wamp is installed in this directory) –> wamp –> www–> copy the zip folder of WordPress here and do right click on it and select “extract here”.

Now make a copy of the folder and rename it, here for e.g., it is renamed as “wordpress1”.



6. Open Your Browser Window

Open your web browser and type the following address “localhost/phpmyadmin/” on your address bar and press enter.

7. Type “localhost” On Your Browser

8. Create a Configuration file

9. Click “Let’s go” button

10. Fill Database Connection Details

11. Fill Other General Information and Click “Install WordPress”
